How White Will My Teeth Get?
Most people see an average improvement of four to eight shades after your 60 minute treatment. Results will depend on the current tooth shade, treatment time, and the composition of the teeth. Everyone's teeth are different and will have a natural stopping point. Some people see results of up to 14 shades. SN: Individuals with naturally red hair may have lesser results. Their dentin is normally a yellowish or grayish color. As a result, the redhead’s teeth will appear to be less white, because more dentin is apparent. Additional time should be considered.
What is the process like?
The process is simple. First, we apply a protective barrier to your lips and gums. This helps with dryness, as your mouth is open for 20 minute intervals x3. Then we apply our Organic gel. While the gel is applied, you’re laying in a massage chair behind the laser light. This is your time to relax, read a book, take a quick nap, catch up on your favorite series, listen to music, etc.
Can it be used on dental work?
Our gel will not effect dental work. It can’t whiten all dental work, but it will brighten dental work made of resin material. We cannot guarantee they will match the rest of your new beautiful bright smile, but clients are always pleased with their results. (Not recommended on metal braces.)
How long will the whitening last?
We can't guarantee how long results will last because everybody has different tooth composition, a diet consisting of different colored foods and drinks, and hydration levels. These are factors in determining the length of results, but the average is 6 months to a year. We offer touch up appointments in-between full sessions which will help with surface stains due to restraining from smoking, coffee, and other factors. Afterglo offer’s discounted monthly memberships so you can afforfdably maintain your whitest smile.
Does it hurt?
We get asked this a lot. Our organic gel contains no preservatives or harsh chemicals that will lead to pain or excessive sensitivity. The process is not painful. Most clients are so relaxed they fall asleep. Most clients experience no sensitivity, but a very small percentage of clients do because they are dehydrated which can cause dehydrated nerves in your teeth. Any sensitivity is short term and gone within 24-48 hours. After the whitening process, we do apply a vitamin booster, which helps with sensitivity and restoring enamel. Please remember to drink a lot of water prior to your appointment. This helps with achieving the best results and helps to reduce sensitivity. Drinking a lot of water after your appointment will help to rehydrate and minimize sensitivity.
How Many sessions will I need?
Most people will be happy with the results after one session, however, depending on your individual needs, a second appointment may be needed in order to achieve your brightest smile. We do offer a loyalty program so you can earn free teeth whitenings.
Hydrate Before Your Appointment!
Hydrate, hydrate and hydrate some more. We can't stress this enough! The only sensitivity you should experience from our products would be due to dehydrated nerves. It is important that you drink at least a gallon of water a full 24 hours before the appointment. Don’t wait the day of your appointment to start hydrating. Start 24 hours prior! The better hydrated you are, the better results you’ll have.
Eat Before Your Appointment
You will not be able to eat for 2 hours after your appointment. Eat before your scheduled time.
